Illumine School is an affiliate member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Synod (WELS) and is blessed to work with an amazing board made up of parents and community members with ties to the special needs community.

Our Head of School, Dr. Althoff & his wife excitedly anticipated the arrival of their third child Elise, who was diagnosed with Down Syndrome. To best support her, Dr. Althoff set upon a mission to create a new school that would be able to provide her an exceptional education shaped by the Light of Christ. Illumine School is the second school he has founded to expand the number of seats available to students with special needs in our communities.
